Welcome to the York City Dog Training Club
York City Dog Training Club is a happy and friendly Dog Club.
Our aim is to help owners and their dogs enjoy learning together and developing a variety of skills. We promote positive, reward -based training, in a relaxed and happy environment, teaching owners the skills they need to train their dogs to become well behaved members of the family.
In 1971 York City Dog Training Club became affiliated to the Kennel Club, we run Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Courses. These classes are aimed at providing owners and their puppies with the best possible start. For more information look at our Puppy page.
We also offer our own YCDTC Award Scheme with Levels 1 to 3 for adolescent and adult dogs. Please contact us regarding your dogs suitability for these classes.
Rosettes and Certificates are awarded for these Schemes upon successful completion of the courses.
All instructors are qualified Pet Professionals Level 3 VTQ First Aid and the Instructor Team hold Specialisms in Canine Body Language, Canine Reactivity, Separation Anxiety, Companion Obedience, Gun Dogs, Recall and Scentwork
